--"You Raised Me Up"--

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
-
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
-
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
-
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
-
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
-
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

You raise me up... To more than I can be...........

--Carl Gustav Jung--

Carl Gustav Jung (July 26, 1875, KesswilJune 6, 1961, Küsnacht) was a Swiss psychiatrist, an influential thinker and the founder of analytical psychology.

Jung's unique approach to psychology has been influential in countercultural movements in Europe, the United States and elsewhere since the 1960s.

He emphasized understanding the psyche through exploring the worlds of dreams, art, mythology, world religion and philosophy. Although he was a theoretical psychologist and practicing clinician, much of his life's work was spent exploring other realms, including Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, sociology, as well as literature and the arts. His most notable ideas include the concept of archetypes, the collective unconscious and synchronicity.

"Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other."
-

"Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the unlived life of the parent."

Carl Jung

Swiss psychologist (1875 - 1961)

--Happy Mother's Day--

Storm clouds of the recent past,
Left rainbows in their wake,
Remembering Your promise,
I let go of the terrible ache.
-
And as I stepped out this morning,
There were roses glistening with dew,
I felt a whispering breeze drift by,
Calling me so gently to You.
-
In the sky, wisps of clouds gathered,
As sunbeams shone down from above,
Looking like Your majestic arms,
Surrounding me with Your love.
-
You healed my broken spirit,
Having blessed me with Your grace,
Refreshing my soul once again,
With the warmth of Your gentle embrace.
-
And should the hurdles return one day,
Seeming much to high to leap,
I'll remember this glorious moment,
That You've given me to keep.
