--A Good Year (2006)--

After years of no contact with his Uncle Henry, London banker and bond trader Max Skinner learns that Henry has died intestate, so Max inherits a château and vineyard in Provence. Max spent part of his childhood there, learning maxims and how to win and lose, and honing his killer instinct (at chess, which serves him well in finance). Max goes to France intent on selling the property. He spends a few days there, getting the property ready to show. Memories, a beautiful woman, and a young American who says she's Henry's illegitimate daughter interrupt his plans. Did Max the boy know things that Max the man has forgotten?

--Happy Old Days--

I had a friend whom was my best
She was always there north, south, east, west
We had great times that we still hold
Theyll always be ours and never sold
~
But the past is gone and the present is here
Back in the old days we were so near
We joked and played and danced around
Ah.... back in the old days what a sound
~
Now my memories are fading fast
Boys come first and me, well last
She seems so near yet so far
It seems our friendship is behind bars
~
Im trapped in this world of lasting hurt
If she would listen to me instead of being a flirt
She night just see that my bags are packed
And communication is what this friendship lacked
~
Its hard to leave but hard to stay
All I can do is wait and pray....

--AN ADDICT I'M NOT.....--

An Addict I'm Not...

~
*An Addict I'm Not...
so he pushes me away hoping I won't see it,
and lead him astray
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
but I must still live the life
dealing and coping
praying one day he'll stop
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
maybe I feel it more
knowing any moment, he could walk out that door
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
I live all alone
sure he's here beside me,
but it's not him that's home
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
so I deal with his lies
the deceit and the pain
and all the tear free cries
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
thinking I could help
one day my love will be enough,
but it won't I can tell
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
I see the pain in his heart and
the fear that grips his soul
as he grabs for his pipe,
and smokes one more bowl
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
if only he could just see
what I see in him
and know he could someday be....
~
*An Addict I'm Not...
so I watch from afar
as he destroys himself
a little more each day....
~
Dear God please help him
each night I'll continue to pray!
~
*Because An Addict I'm Not,
but I must watch him be.....

--Mental disorder - In and Out of Human Mind--

Mental disorder or mental illness are terms used to refer to a psychological or physiological pattern that occurs in an individual and is usually associated with distress or disability that is not expected as part of normal development or culture. The recognition and understanding of mental disorders has changed over time. Definitions, assessments, and classifications of mental disorders can vary, but guideline criterion listed in the ICD, DSM and other manuals are widely accepted by mental health professionals.
~
Categories of diagnoses in these schemes may include dissociative disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, personality disorders, and many other categories. In many cases there is no single accepted or consistent cause of mental disorders, although they are widely understood in terms of a diathesis-stress model and biopsychosocial model.
~
Mental disorders have been found to be common, with over a third of people in most countries reporting sufficient criteria at some point in their life. Mental health services may be based in hospitals or in the community. Mental health professionals diagnose individuals using different methodologies, often relying on case history and interview. Psychotherapy and psychiatric medication are two major treatment options, as well as supportive interventions.
~
Treatment may be involuntary where legislation allows. Several movements campaign for changes to mental health services and attitudes, including the Consumer/Survivor Movement. There are widespread problems with stigma and discrimination.
