The UEFA Cup 2008–09 is the 38th edition of the UEFA Cup football tournament. The final will be played at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, home ground of Fenerbahçe, in Istanbul, Turkey on 20 May 2009. This season will be the final one using the current format; starting in 2009, the event will be known as the UEFA Europa League.
