A group of over 150 Gurkha veterans received the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal on Tuesday 29th May 2012 at Princess Hall, Aldershot. Poignantly, some received the much overdue medals posthumously, proudly accepted on their behalf by their widows.
Capt. Umesh Kumar Pun MVO, who had voluntunteered to inform, gather consent and collate the namelist (see below) of the Gurkha veterans therefore ought to be applauded for his tireless efforts for the benefit of our community's older veterans.
